Is there any evidence to suggest that ingested collagen has positive effects on your skin?Updated a year ago

There are many peer-reviewed studies that show orally ingesting collagen can benefit your skin, but creams and lotions don’t, due to the higher molecular weight of the particle sizes.

It’s certainly always a good idea to seek medical advice around safe collagen doses. If you take too much collagen, it can throw off the balance of amino acids in your body and cause side effects.

We have tested our bone broths for collagen levels. The max you can get from our bone broths is our 500ml carton of beef, which contains 18g of collagen. This is a good idea if you want to monitor the amount you take.
